This is the only parliamentary term I can think of that applies to elevators. #CALeg

@SacGreenbelt Please “digest” these thoughts for a “minute” to grant “reconsideration” of the “previous question”. Actually, upon a “2nd Reading”, this has gotten a bit “engrossed” and I must “rescind” my “point of personal privilege” here. “Resolved”- just a humble “statute”, err, statue.

@SacGreenbelt And, for good “measure”, in this an even year, if the issue not “resolved” soon, do we get to “Sine Die” these “vehicles” or does that put those trying to access a “section” of the “upper house” in a tough “spot”?

@SacGreenbelt And, while I would “concur” with a “majority” of your “petition”, would it be “germane” to speak in “code” here? Do we “call” or “refer” to the person performing the “enactment” of the button as a “floor manager”?

@SacGreenbelt Apologies- I must “check-in” with some “urgency” due to “unfinished business”. Not to “hijack” your thought, would you also “adopt” and “confirm” that “inactive” & “the motion has failed” are acceptable “amendments” to your point- At least until maintenance does an “override”?

I do wonder... who actually still believes the Top Two system is a net positive?

Had Top Two been in place for June 2010- would we have seen the same results? Had Maldonado not had the appointment and then incumbency going into the primary, would we have seen the same results? Do either of these answers change the Newsom trajectory?

As you know, I'm out in front of this from the data/math side, but I haven't called on anyone to drop out. I just want to make sure people know the risk. I get your argument that they would recall a Republican governor (and I heard that a recall couldn't start for five months, so probably have a year of a Rep governor in any case). But, aside from the potential harm there, aren't you concerned about the impact on the General Election, Congressional races, other races (For example, if there is no Dem on the ballot I bet Reps win other statewide offices like Insurance Commissioner, maybe AG (goodbye Trump lawsuit), Lt Governor, etc... and you're not going to recall them all). Also say goodbye to any Nov Ballot measures on revenue or extending taxes. It could even cost the House. Speaker Johnson benefiting from Dems in CA splitting their votes. I am not questioning your ethics/values/big-D "Democratic" motives, but also wondering if this risk persists post filing, and into April/May, are you going to be on the bandwagon of figuring out how to ensure a Dem makes the runoff? Feel free to DM me if you want to blow me up. :)

#AB2063 What does the #CaLeg community think? Sunshine vs. a practical sense on implementation. Even automated, seems like a lot of work to include ALL letters. I remember AB 7 (Floyd, 91) and SB 89 (Alpert, 03) having an obscene number of letters.@AlexCVassar @ChrisMicheli
