I would like to know who decides these things - why can't I get these goldfish in the carton? I can get cheddar and pretzel and the frustratingly small baby multi colored crackers but not the best variety - parmesan - in the 27oz carton.

Can someone at @amazonprime please explain why it’s worth it to have a prime membership when we no longer get overnight shipping and most of the prime movies are for a fee?

@HistoryBoomer A can of tomatoes, drain the tomatoes, season them, cook them & you have spaghetti sauce.

You can boil pasta, add Classico, Newman's Own, or Trader Joe's sauce, and then pre-grated cheese. "NO! MAKING PASTA SAUCE FROM SCRATCH IS EASY AND MUCH BETTER!" Stop. You're part of the problem. Don't scare them. Let them work up to sauce from scratch later. Classico is fine.

I just think it would be better for everyone if the people who make adhesive for maxi pads and the people who make adhesive for bookstore price stickers switched jobs

@Peter_ORyan99 When I was a kid, I helped in the kitchen. At 12, Mom turned me loose to cook & make supper by myself. BHG is the best-but the older 50s versions are better.

how did you learn to cook? I bought one of these at a thrift store when I was 19 and not living with my parent. still have it.

My parents were boomers. I am GenX. As a kid I can remember getting McDonalds maybe 6 times in my childhood. We never got Happy Meals (too expensive.) We had to share a French fry order. And we could only order 1 hamburger each— my mom brought the American cheese from home and two cans of soda from home. That’s how tight money was in our house. We couldn’t order a cheeseburger with the melted cheese on it from McDonalds. This was my reality for a working-class blue-collar two-income family in the 80’s.

@Avonleebythesea You might want to read the room. Insulting librarians is not the most effective way to promote your books or bookstore. For the record, we are quiet, socioeconomically challenged progressives. And by "cultural preservation" what are you referencing?

No. The point of libraries is to collect and preserve books and make them accessible to the public. They should be serene, silent, and you should be able to find Great Expectations on a shelf. Too many librarians are loud, entitled libs who are more concerned with politics than anything to do with cultural preservation. This is why libraries which used to be sanctuaries for mothers and their children, for a studious high school student, have instead become the domain of homeless and drug addicts and if you want Dickens you have to wait two weeks to have it shipped from three states away.

@Avonleebythesea My hometown just replaced its library with expensive & antiseptic media center with about twice the square footage--but they are claiming there isn't "room" for all the books from the old library.

@Avonleebythesea When I was in library sci school early 90s they already talked about the ‘virtual library.’ I have friends in Memphis public library who say it’s billed as a community gathering/Wi-Fi spot, not a book collection.

When I was Muslim, man, this verse used to mess me up. Jesus on the cross saying, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” As a Muslim, I used to think: how does God feel forsaken by God? That sounds like weakness. That sounds like a prophet in pain. But then I dug deeper. And I realized Jesus was not speaking randomly. He was quoting Psalm 22. That entire Psalm, written by King David centuries before Christ, is a prophecy about the crucifixion: “They pierce my hands and feet.” “They divide my garments among them.” “All who see me mock me.” In Jewish culture, quoting the first line of a Psalm pointed people to the entire passage. So Jesus was not crying out in confusion. He was declaring fulfillment. He was saying: “This is that.” And at the same time, He was carrying the full weight of sin, shame, abandonment, and suffering for humanity. Every moment humanity has cried out, “God, where are you?” Christ stepped into that pain Himself. That is not weakness. That is intentional. That is prophecy unfolding in real time. That is the King bleeding on purpose so humanity could be brought near to God. That is the Gospel.

I've been living in children's books from 100+ years ago and they've been breaking my brain. Now I can't leave well enough alone with everything I've ever made. The illustrations were so much better. I can't stand modern illustrations now. What have I done to myself? Is this not so much better? Gosh darn it lol.

As I Celebrate my Birthday, I look back and Reflect on my journey… I never would have made it without the Lord! Thank you, Thank you Jesus

@EastTNMama I have 18 tape measures & 9 pairs safety glasses because I always bought experiment kits from Rainbow Curriculum. I did toss the very cheap scissors.

I just don’t throw stuff away. We are basically on 3rd science junk drawer.

The Book of Enoch is trending again. Every time disclosure files drop, Christians start sharing it like it belongs next to Romans. It does not. Your Bible has 66 books. The men who bled for that canon knew exactly what they were doing when they left Enoch out. Read what is in your Bible before you chase what is not.

@Biblicalman Enoch details Genesis 6 & the Nephilum. Jude & Peter quote from it. The church in Ethiopia has book of Enoch in the canon. It’s a very interesting read.

@EastTNMama Cook on low for longer than you think until they are really soft and golden brown. Maybe 20 minutes or more.

@QPasMal1 I’ve never actually had my onions carmelize and I cooked them much longer than requested. I’ve done something wrong.

I need a good recipe. Please send me your French onion soup recipes. If you don’t have one find one and send me. I need something tried and true, but I’m willing to take less. I buy these in the fall from Costco and I’m on my last box.
