Yesterday I successfully defended my dissertation, “Making the Desert Place: An Environmental & Cultural History of the Creosote Bush from the US-Mexico Borderlands.” Grateful to my community and my committee, Yolanda Leyva, Sam Brunk, Jeffrey P Shepherd, and Margo Tamez. 🙏





After two incredible years at the @CPHatSMU I'm very excited to share that I will be staying in Texas for my next academic adventure, as an Assistant Professor of History at Texas Woman's University. I'm truly thrilled to be staying in Dallas and can't wait to begin!
