🏳️‍🌈 #PrideMonth The Sexual Liberation Movement was founded in Trinity in 1973, by students and staff including David Norris, then a lecturer in the English department. From that movement, the "Gay Society" was formed, and still exists to this day! q-soc.com @Q_Soc

A report from the Royal Society of Chemistry found that 28%of LGBT+ people in STEM have considered leaving work because of work place discrimination and that 20% of trans people consider this often. We have to keep moving forward to make STEM more open to everyone.

It's #LGBTSTEMDay today. It's serves to highlight the work and barriers for LGBTQ+ people in STEM. A lot of progress that has been made but there is still a lot more that can be done. ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤

We're happy to say that TCD is taking part in #IrelandTurnsPurple this Sunday along with 50 other buildings across the country in support of Intersex Solidarity day. Intersex issues are often ignored and deserve to be discussed more often. Thanks to @IntersexMap for organising.

This will be well worth a listen too, especially as queer history (particularly in Ireland) has been such a neglected area.

The Provost, @pjprendergast has agreed to have Trinity light up purple for #IntersexSolidarityDay, November 8th @IntersexMap 💛💛💜💛💛
