During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and discussed ways to further enhance cooperation across various fields of mutual interest.

H.E. Dr. Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Kuwari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Romania, met with H.E. Mr. Cătălin Predoiu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Romania, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Bucharest.

وجرى خلال اللقاء استعراض واقع العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الصديقين وسبل تطويرها في كافة المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

التقى سعادة الدكتور راشد بن عبد الله الكواري سفير دولة قطر لدى رومانيا مع سعادة السيد كتالين بريدويو نائب رئيس الوزراء وزير الداخلية الروماني ، في مقر الوزارة في بوخارست.

Romania reaffirmed its solidarity with Gulf partners affected by recent military hostilities and stressed the importance of safeguarding maritime security and critical waterways.

The discussions focused on the latest developments in the Gulf region, particularly the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and efforts to ensure safe maritime navigation and free passage. Participants also addressed EU–GCC relations and cooperation within multilateral organizations.

H.E. Dr. Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Kuwari,The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Romania, participated in the meeting of the resident Heads of Mission of the (GCC) member states accredited to Bucharest with H.E. Mrs. Oana Țoiu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania.

وأكدت رومانيا تضامنها مع شركائها الخليجيين المتضررين من الأعمال العدائية العسكرية الأخيرة، وشددت على أهمية الحفاظ على الأمن البحري والممرات المائية الحيوية.

وركزت المناقشات على آخر التطورات في منطقة الخليج، ولا سيما إغلاق مضيق هرمز والجهود المبذولة لضمان أمن الملاحة البحرية وحرية العبور. كما تناول المشاركون العلاقات بين الاتحاد الأوروبي ومجلس التعاون الخليجي، والتعاون في إطار المنظمات متعددة الأطراف.

شارك سعادة الدكتور راشد بن عبد الله الكواري، سفير دولة قطر لدى رومانيا، في اجتماع رؤساء بعثات دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي المعتمدة في بوخارست، مع سعادة السيدة أوانا تسويو، وزيرة خارجية رومانيا.

Today I met with the resident Heads of Mission of the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council accredited to Bucharest, Sultan Mohamed Majed Al Ali, Ambassador of the 🇦🇪 to RO, Abdullah Abdulrahman Al‑Shatti, Ambassador of 🇰🇼 to RO, Rashid Abdullah Mohammed Al Sheikh Al Kuwari, Ambassador of 🇶🇦 to RO, and Azzam Alfuraih, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Kingdom of 🇸🇦 in Bucharest. We exchanged on the current state of play in the broader Gulf region, particularly on the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz and international efforts to ensure free passage. We joined calls for the immediate reopening of the Strait and the restoration of safe maritime navigation throughout the region. We discussed also about EU–GCC strengthened ties and efforts in multilateral organizations such as UN, IMO, FAO. I reiterated Romania’s solidarity with our Gulf partners directly affected by the military hostilities, including the most recent drone attacks on nuclear energy infrastructure. Safeguarding maritime security and the operativity of critical waterways remains our shared priority. International efforts are aimed at lowering the pressure on energy prices and ensuring free passage for fertilizers essential in agriculture. @KSAembassyROU @QatarEm_Romania

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral and international relations, and reviewed frameworks for joint cooperation and related agreements, in order to enhance coordination and integration in areas of common interest.

H.E. Dr. Rashid bin Abdulla Al-Kuwari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Romania, met with H.E. Colonel Vasile Ionescu, Director of the International Cooperation Department within the Ministry of National Defence.

التقى سعادة الدكتور/ راشد بن عبدالله الكواري، سفير دولة قطر لدى رومانيا بسعادة العقيد/ فاسيلي يونيسكو مدير إدارة التعاون الدولي في وزارة الدفاع الوطني، حيث جرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل توطيد أواصر العلاقات الثنائية والدولية، ومناقشة أطر التعاون المشترك والاتفاقيات ذات الصلة.

وهذا المعرض هو أكبر نسخة منذ انطلاقه قبل 20 عاما، نظمته الشركة العالمية TNT ROMANIA والحكومة الرومانية وسفارة الولايات المتحدة الأميركية في بوخارست.

وبحضور أكثر من 350 مسؤول من رومانيا ومن العديد من دول العالم وعسكريين ووفود دولية، إضافة إلى رؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية المعتمدة في رومانيا.

شارك سعادة الدكتور راشد بن عبد الله الكواري سفير دولة قطر لدى رومانيا في افتتاح معرض الدفاع والفضاء والأمن في البحر الأسود BSDA 2026 في (رومايرو) للمعارض في العاصمة الرومانية بوخارست، بمشاركة واسعة من أكثر من 650 شركة للصناعات الدفاعي

This participation comes within the framework of strengthening Qatar’s cultural and academic presence and supporting bridges of communication and cooperation with educational institutions and universities in Romania.

The Qatari pavilion attracted considerable interest and engagement from students, visitors, and participants, offering insights into the State of Qatar and its educational and cultural institutions, while highlighting the country’s commitment to supporting education.

The State of Qatar participated in the International Festival organized by the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in cooperation with the Republic of Tunisia under the theme "Promoting the Study of Engineering in Foreign Languages".
