The demand for an apology was an attempt to take authoritative control of you. He is use to weakening the ego of people and bending them to his will. It was an absolute power play. Note: Evil becomes strong when it gets its victims to believe they are really doing good. The idea of the cliché evil person wringing their hands while grunting out evil laughs actually keeps them safe. In reality, they actually think the evil they do is good. That is how evil continues hidden.

Oh, and here's the real kicker: The second I remembered his mom is Colombian—and how he never mentions her—I immediately checked if James’s mother is Afro-Colombian.
