Mercer got screwed by the Avent retirement and Kentucky getting the SEC “we lost half our games, but look who we played” bump. Really a shame. SoCon deserved 2 spots.

If you would’ve responded like that from the jump, it would’ve been a much more constructive conversation. But your real qualm should be with Mercer being left out for NC State or Kentucky, not the difference in the 4 and 5 seeds for two teams who would host til they got to Omaha.

Auburn lost 19 games and went 17-13 in its conference and got the #4 overall seed. Ahead of 41-11-1 North Carolina. Wonder if the SEC will comment on this decision that threatens the integrity of the regular season. 🤔 🤔

@GamecockAP Well they’re both top 15 schedules. So that’s not materially different. UNC has a better win percentage against Q1 & Q1+2 and better series records against the best teams they faced. But you don’t care about any of that. Just thought I’d share. Have a great Memorial Day.

This is about money and SEC scheduling. Period. I don’t like it. You likely don’t, either. But I don’t blame either side for trying to do this.
