🚨 Jakie są trzy największe problemy nauki w Polsce? 🇵🇱 1️⃣ Deficyt zaufania 🤝 2️⃣ Brak ambicji i wizji 🎯 3️⃣ Słabe zarządzanie 🏛️ 💸 A chroniczne niedofinansowanie napędza każdy z nich.

📄 Our new research article on “Ultracold High-Spin Σ-State Polar Molecules for New Physics Searches” has been published in Physical Review X: journals.aps.org/prx/abstract/1… 🔬 We propose ultracold YbCr and similar high-spin polar molecules, featuring large internal electric fields and an ideal rotational structure controllable with modest laboratory fields, as a sensitive platform for probing physics beyond the Standard Model. ⚡ Searching for the electric dipole moment of the electron is a first step toward solving a major mystery in modern physics: why the Universe contains far more matter than antimatter. 🏆 Our collaborator and the first author, Alessio Ciamei, has already won an ERC Starting Grant to build the proposed experiment in Florence. 🚀 Stay tuned!

Today, I had the great pleasure of participating in the panel “Quantum Technologies: Cybersecurity, Privacy Protection, and Development Opportunities for Poland” at the Congress on Data Protection and New Technologies, organized by @UODOgov_pl

To this end, we showed that the excited metastable X1⁢𝛴+b3⁢𝛱 electronic manifold supports field-linked tetramers in a broader range of electric fields with collisional shielding extended to zero field. The discovered phenomenon is more general, thus stay tuned!

We proposed proof-of-principle experiments to implement stimulated Raman adiabatic passage and photoassociation using field-linked tetramers, paving the way for the formation of deeply bound ultracold polyatomic molecules.
