The optomechanical interaction thus enables the transduction of low-energy (undetectable) phonons generated by a dark matter scattering event into high-energy (detectable) photons, providing a means to sensitively probe a new range of keV scale dark matter.

Our proposal for an Optomechanical Dark matter INstrument (ODIN) has just been published in PRD, and outlines a new method for the direct detection of low-mass dark matter: journals.aps.org/prd/abstract/1…

We have a new proposal on the arXiv arxiv.org/abs/2402.17460, which focuses on using feedback control to improve position squeezing and enable momentum squeezing, offering advancements in preparing nonclassical states at room temperature. @QuantumOpticsLb

Our results present a pathway to exploit entropic forces in quantum devices, and to study nonlinear fluid phenomena such as turbulence and solitons.
