After reading the post I honestly didn’t even have much to say till I entered the comments. One lady said, “All her sacrifices yet you decided to pay her back by marrying another wife,” and this man replied with, “I discussed it with her before I married her. I will marry up to four wives by the will of Allah.” And that reply irritated me so bad because what do you mean??? After writing a whole post about how this woman suffered with you, stood by you, struggled with you, believed in you when you had nothing, your own response is basically “well I always planned to marry more wives anyway.” Like wow. This is why I keep saying men know exactly what they are doing. EXACTLY!! They know the sacrifices women make for them. They know women are expected to endure, manage, support, build and suffer with them, yet somehow a lot of them still move like they’re entitled to endless options while the woman is expected to just accept whatever comes. And honestly women need to wake up. Badly. Society keeps selling this idea that suffering with a man is some badge of honour. “Build with him.” “Struggle together.” “Stand by him.” Okay and then what? Because a lot of the time there is no reward at the end of it. You can pour everything into a man and still be reminded that you were never enough on your own. But let a woman intentionally choose comfort or financial stability and suddenly everybody starts shouting gold digger or materialistic. So which one is better please? Because suffering with a man clearly does not automatically make you a “good wife” or guarantee respect in return. I really need women to stop romanticising struggle so much because too many men benefit from it while women are the ones carrying the emotional and physical weight of everything.
