Why will this journalist choose to shine a spotlight on the magistrate in a previous case in which the same boy allegedly raped another girl by writing a headline which clearly aims to cast blame on the magistrate in the picture, at the exclusion of bringing the same attention to those directly responsible for the minor boy? 2. Why does she want us to focus only on the magistrate and not the boy’s parents and the psychiatrist whose professional expert assessment of the boy the court relied on to allegedly “let an accused teen rapist loose”? ❗️In December 2023 this journalist wrote - “journalists cannot allow ourselves to be vehicles of damaging and unverifiable disinformation - no matter what attacks we may face." 🧵(1/3)
