«Los estereotipos que nos llevan a asumir más fácilmente que los hombres son líderes capaces son los mismos que nos hacen sentir menos empatía por su sufrimiento».
Tania A Reynolds@TaniaArline

"The stereotypes that lead us to more readily assume men are capable leaders are the same ones that cause us to feel less empathy for their suffering." Here I discuss our work (with @H_Sjastad) on gender biases in moral typecasting and its societal implications.

No surprise here. Most-to-all "woke," and quite a bit of "based," info online is literally just bullshit.

At the risk of sounding like a boomer, I genuinely think that social media and mass media in general have rotted a lot of people's brains, and I'm not sure how or if that can be fixed Also deeply concerned that "AI" (realistically, LLMs) will make this problem even worse

Gen Z is the loneliest, least sexually active, and most politically extreme generation in modern history. In his sharp new piece for @Queer_Majority, @TrueSlazac explores how radicalism, taboos & social media got us here.

"The fact that the defenders of the practice don’t apply a similar dubious logic to its female equivalent reveals their obvious cultural bias. We should be thankful that Western culture has come to appreciate the value of female bodily autonomy. Boys deserve the same respect."
Richard Hanania@RichardHanania

Circumcision is the only case in which our culture removes a healthy body part as a routine part of medicine. As I explain in @QueerMajority, the evidence supposedly justifying such an extreme practice is laughable, and it needs to end. queermajority.com/essays-all/was…

Helen is one of the few sane voices remaining. It is mind boggling that the "warriors" themselves don't see this simple, straightforward dynamic. More likely, they see it but they prefer to continue fan the flames to promote their own personal agendas. "The primary casualties are usually not the culture warriors themselves but the “civilians” on whose behalf these wars have purportedly been waged in the first place, whether or not they themselves subscribe to any of the ideologies ascribed to them. The latest group to be caught in the crossfire is the LGBT community."
Helen Pluckrose@HPluckrose

I want the pendulum to stop swinging! It doesn't have to. This occurs when one ideological group pushes their ideology hard at other people & then a backlash occurs causing it to be shoved back. Innocent bystanders most likely to get knocked over by it. queermajority.com/essays-all/the…

People keep claiming that Prince Reza Pahlavi does not have support inside Iran or that he wants to be a dictator. After the massive protests in early January and the university demonstrations 40 days later, anyone still making these claims is just ignoring reality. I break down the five biggest arguments used against him, including the democracy versus monarchy debate and his representation of ethnic groups. From the idea that he lacks support inside Iran to the argument that he is power-hungry or does not represent minority groups, we have been debunking this nonsense for years. This video is designed to be a reference for you to send to anyone still making these claims. The Iranian people have made their choice clear on the streets, and it is time to look at the facts. 🎖️ Come to talk to me in our discussion group: skool.com/libertypolitic…

Gender discourse is poisoned. Radfems are in denial about what tursns women on, and the manosphere alternatives are just war for no good reason. We're hoping to fix that! Come to Slutcon, where good sex means *everyone* wins:

These students are actually somewhat close to getting it. But they seem to be confusing the question "how many sexes are there?" with "how many ways can the sexes be expressed in an individual organism?" The students are confusing the number of sexes with the number of ways sex can be allocated. How many sexes are there? Two. - Male - Female How many ways can the sexes be allocated/expressed/combined in an individual organism? Four. - Only male - Only female - Both male and female (hermaphrodite) - Neither male nor female This confusion is easiest to expose from the "neither male nor female" category, since not having the function to produce any gamete is clearly not a sex. It is by definition a state of sexlessness. At least the students appear to be tracking something real, even if they are confused. It's an easier task to correct this small point of confusion than it would be to convert them from a totally social constructivist view of sex.
Jerry Coyne@Evolutionistrue

Luana Maroja's survey of her Evolution students, who have already taken evolutionary biology, show that most of them think there are more than two sexes, with four (male, female, hermaphrodites, and intersex individuals) being the most common number. Oy! whyevolutionistrue.com/2026/03/17/lua…
