In our Palavee Amravati district project supported by Tata Trusts, we're working on multi-language education in Melghat. People here speak korku at home, hindi outside & marathi in school. So we've created picture cards using images from their lives, and written prompts in korku.

A few months ago, we set out on a journey to document Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) practices from organizations that have attempted to scale their models. Our team has been meeting visionary educators who have designed FLN approaches rooted in their local contexts.

Students become authors! With support from Praj Foundation, QUEST has been working with Classes 5–7 in 6 schools @ Someshwar (Nira). Children are now writing essays, poems, stories, & news items. Student editorial boards are compiling their very own handwritten magazines. #QUEST

QUEST has launched a new RESEARCH project, with the support of Tata Trusts, to study early language, literacy, and mathematics practices for scale. Over the next 2 years, we’ll dive into case studies of six organizations that have worked on innovative teaching practices.

Today marks a significant landmark for us as QUEST completes 19 years! A few passionate persons got together and founded QUEST on January 1, 2007. Their shared vision to bring Quality Education to under-served children continues to guide us even today. #QUESTforQualityEducation

At Eklavya Vidyalaya (Nandurbar), the QUEST team has set up an ‘Anupad Centre’, to help students who are lagging behind in studies. After just a few months of level-based input, these children are reading with confidence and making meaning from text.(Supported by Praj Foundation)

QUEST is creating a series of high‑quality live classroom videos for Early Childhood Education, for the Palavee program - featuring real interactions between expert educators and young children. Every moment is captured LIVE to show authentic teaching and learning as it happens.

QUEST has participated in the TLPS survey, for data collection in Maharashtra. We are eager to know the findings of the entire survey across 9 states.

In QUEST's centre at Uchat, the children of grade 5 were very happy last week- they made BHEL together! This activity is useful for many things- children learn to divide tasks and responsibilities. After eating, they write about the experience, learn to write a recipe formally.

On 7th December 2025, Nilesh Nimkar (Founder, Director - QUEST) will be speaking at IIT Madras on 'Beyond Hope: What Technology Can and Cannot Do for Learning'. Please register for the talk if you are in Chennai.

At QUEST’s Educational Centre in Dadhare, Grade 1 2 students stepped out to discover plants around them! Tiny shrubs, tall trees- they noted every detail. The Balmitra helped create a list of plant names & their findings. (activity from ‘Small Science Curriculum’ of @HBCSE_TIFR)
