Just got caught up and saw the reports about what took place earlier this week regarding Ricochet and an online fan with M.S.- Thanks to some DM'ing me the story and original tweeting, etc.
I understand we are in a different time, and there are numerous ways to get "heat" or be a hated character, and some characters/talent take to the online portion of the fanbase to do so, but you truly never know what the person on the other side of the keyboard, or phone, is going through or has gone through. Making fun of someone with any sort of disease or mental illness is an awful look, and gross, no matter how much you want your character to be "hated".
You can't try to be the change while being part of the problem, especially if you're a public figure or star.
Just be kind, you have no idea who looks up to you.
