@manas_muduli You are 100 % correct. During our school (Army School) days 2005-10. Every week each section was given responsibility to clean play ground, school premises and assembly ground. We used to clean all the dry waste. There were kids of Army officer, elitie businessman and others.

What’s wrong with this? Why can’t kids do their own work? It’s their food….what’s wrong if they carry the utensils? When we expect someone else to do everything for them, they miss out on learning responsibility and basic life skills. Then later, we complain about lack of independence, unrealistic expectations, and even blame the government for jobs. Let kids learn. Let them take responsibility. It starts with small things.

It can directly influence voters there. This is the kind of planning they do to win elections. If he put even 1% of that planning into developing India, tackling climate change, improving education and healthcare, actually developing football, and bringing peace to Manipur, which is just 1,000 km away from Bengal, India could have been in a much better situation. But who cares.

If you look at how kids go to school in developed countries vs India, it reveals problems we don’t talk about. In many Western countries, kids walk or cycle. Bus usage is minimal. Walking is normal. You see this a lot in Japan too. In India, step out in the afternoon and half the traffic is school buses. If not buses, then private vans or autos. In those countries, kids cycle on clean roads with proper paths and safe crossings. In India, bad public infrastructure, road with potholes, messy traffic, dust, heat, and pollution make that risky. Kids don't get safe parks and playgrounds to play in many urban areas. And this comes with a cost. Less physical movement, less outdoor exposure. Active movement helps kids grow physically, mentally, and socially. Here, it’s limited because the roads are unpredictable. That’s why you’re seeing more obesity, brain fog and low energy in kids at a young age.
