@Hugo30850827 @Nami838563 @moon_dweller5 You can learn about this from this book on Buddhism.
kokusho.co.jp/buddhism/isbn/…
English

@R33Xm @Nami838563 @moon_dweller5 Do you have a source? Because I'd love to understand the meaning behind them, i've been looking for where this image originates from for ages
English

I wonder if gege ever wanted to give a character a domain expansion but didn’t because he couldn’t think of a new hand sign
Emmanuel@emmywayne64
Is there an explanation why everyone else needs two hands to open a domain except for Gojo?
English

@Nami838563 @moon_dweller5 Since it’s relatively familiar to Japanese people, it’s easy to find.
English

@R33Xm @moon_dweller5 what is this? where the fuck did you find this?
English

@Manteguin3 @daniel80199 @moon_dweller5 Since I’m not a native English speaker, I’m only familiar with Japanese websites.
In my case, if you search for “印相” you’ll find some results.
English

@R33Xm @daniel80199 @moon_dweller5 Do you know somewhere I could learn more about these individually? Sounds fun to link their meaning to each character and their domain
English

@daniel80199 @moon_dweller5 These are known as 印相(insou)or 掌印(shoin); in Buddhism, they involve forming various shapes with the fingers to symbolically represent religious concepts.
English

@R33Xm @moon_dweller5 If you don't mind me asking, what are these hand signs called? and lowkey where can I see more like this?
English

@flingkong24 @moon_dweller5 Number 40? This is the kongouken-sign. It has various meanings, but it signifies the power to shatter doubt and to solidify one’s inner strength.
English

@R33Xm @moon_dweller5 My favorite is the one that is straight up just a fist.
English

I wasn't ready for the amount of guys in my comments that are mad I'm not using my real skin. Yall know there are websites where you can see naked men on right? Just Google it

@milkkotsu The translation is a little off.
She’s fine with protein powder, she just doesn’t like it when it feels powdery or gritty.

@mathou125995 @barbiesukuna Pachinko parlors are legally unique establishments, and regulating them is no easy task due to their extremely high customer volume.
Yuji likely feels guilty because he used the facility knowing minors are prohibited from entering.
English

@R33Xm @barbiesukuna Okay but the principal of the law still boggles me. If a place has age limits they should check and be the ones responsible for enforcing it
English

@mathou125995 @barbiesukuna Pachinko parlors do not verify age, and once inside, customers can freely choose machines and play alone.
There is no contact with staff.
English

@barbiesukuna Im so confused at how yuuji is guilty cause in my country its illegal for establishment to accept minors. The fault would be on them not the minor. Same for buying cigarettes
English

@dailyshokonhime All Japanese people learn this story in school during junior high school.
English

and for those we claim utahime is not todo's teacher or that her teaching had no impact on him, its the story she taught him that was receited by todo when he arrived to save yuji in shibuya
the story he used to motivate himself and yuji to rise against mahito

(not so) daily shokohime@dailyshokonhime
utahime was a great teacher, I will not allow people to claim she isn't todo/miwa's teacher just because todo was scouted by yuki and miwa learned simple domain with kusakabe. At the end of the day it was utahime who taught them since they were 15, when they entered jujutsu high
English

@yoshxggy @1filtre014 @ThePhantomStra5 Yes. To be precise, it's both. However, the name Mahoraga is among the Twelve Divine Generals.
English

JJK is one story you cant do 'its not that deep' gimmick for ,considering Gege riddles it with symbolism and allegories, sometimes even to an annoying extent. You think calling the weapon 'Ame no Sakahoko' SPECIFICALLY was done just cos it sounded cool?
janomeh 🤞@yuujioppa
“toji stabbing gojo is an SA allegory” or… maybe it’s just… a guy getting stabbed in a shonen battle
English

@1filtre014 @ThePhantomStra5 Megumi's technique is based on the Twelve Divine Generals. Each general represents one animal of the Japanese zodiac and is believed to protect people from illness and misfortune. Incidentally, Mahoraga serves as the guardian deity for those born in the Year of the Rabbit.
English

@ThePhantomStra5 if you are so smart, can you tell us why mahoraga is called the divine general ? sometimes things are just references to the culture. Like Naruto with Amaterasu. You can’t give a second lecture to a second writing of an existing cultural concept. It’s just LARPING.
English

@KazunaEdits @arakkosuperstar It’s actually very uncommon just because a small percentage of people do something doesn’t mean everybody does. If you go to Japan there’s a 9.9/10 you won’t see that
English

everyone is saying hakari is blasian but the truth is japanese people will really just go out and perm their hair into Black styles so its legitimately a toss up
