We’ve been discussing and monitoring this topic for some time, so I want to share some context and the next step. TL;DR: For Split 2, the broadcast will start at 5PM GMT+8, which is three hours later than Split 1’s 2PM start time. In Split 1, we intentionally experimented with several things: • Introducing coach comms • Launching the 2v2 segment • Testing the 2PM broadcast window Since then, we’ve been reviewing the data while collecting feedback from fans, teams, and partners. There were some positive outcomes. English broadcast viewership grew 40% year-over-year, on-site fans and staff felt less pressure around catching the last public transport on full six-game days, and more fans were able to experience the LCP Arena for the first time due to improved ticket availability. At the same time, the viewership decline mentioned here aligns with what we’ve observed in our own data. Compared to previous splits, a meaningful portion of viewers across LCP’s time zones were simply unavailable during the earlier start time, often due to work or weekend commitments. Overall, this represented roughly 30% fewer available viewers during that window. Based on these learnings, we’ll be adjusting the start time for Split 2. Beyond the schedule change, we’ll also continue focusing on strengthening team and player fandom and leaning further into what makes LCP uniquely LCP. Hey everyone. As promised, here are the 16.6 Patch notes as is that will be on PBE after todays deploy. Reminder, this is not something we normally do, but we're trying to keep competitive folks in the loop. This is like 95% final. There's one last day for adjustments and feedbacks, and I know the team already snuck in a couple more this morning that will show up in tomorrow's final build. Otherwise don't expect a ton of changes from here on out. So far response from the folks playing has been positive, which has been good. Tim and I are also going to try to get the rundown video out a bit earlier if we can. Ok, that's it for today. Have fun!
