Twenty minutes earlier, Rowling celebrated the Olympics' decision to ban transgender women from competing in women’s events by writing: “Today’s ruling by the IOC means a welcome return to fair sport for women and girls, but I’ll never forget the scandal of Paris 2024, when people who consider themselves supremely virtuous and progressive publicly cheered on men punching women.” Rowling was referring to the Olympics decision to allow Algeria’s Imane Khelif to compete in the women’s boxing competition at the Paris 2024 summer games, one year after Khelif was disqualified from the Women’s World Championships for failing a gender eligibility test due to elevated levels of testosterone in her system. If AI can impersonate humans, let's start my replacing all CEOs with them.
That way at least when they make insane and terrible decisions we can say "oh that wacky AI". Plus we'll know they're being soulless automatons for free - and not some 40 billion dollar golden parachute.
