Happy Birthday to Her Majesty Queen Camilla, our Honorary Air Commodore. We're delighted to have sent Her Majesty a beautiful print of a card designed by Ivie, a talented pupil from Leeming RAF Community Primary School.

After providing a steady hand on the tiller through the death of one monarch and coronation of HM the King, we say farewell to our SWO Stew Thorpe this week. A warm Yorkshire welcome to WO Jason Smith, who is picking up the pace stick.

A poignant day as we bade farewell to the Puma helicopter on the northern leg of its final tour. The RAF’s workhorse of more than half a century was captured over Ribblehead Viaduct, before refuelling at RAF Leeming one more time. We were honoured to be part of the journey.🚁🫡

The aircraft of Ex COBRA WARRIOR look amazing, but we know who the real heroes are. Huge kudos to 3 MCS, who can be relied on to serve up tasty morale wherever, whenever. Is it just coincidence that the visual communicators always visit when it's time to dish up? 🤔😋

Proud to boast about two of our rising stars during #NationalApprenticeshipWeek. AS1 Gina Farrance is working towards her Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative, while AS1 Matthew Benson is studying for his Level 3 qualification as an Information Communications Technician. 🙌

RAF Leeming Logistics Squadron joined forces to collect food & essential supplies for Hambleton Food bank. Led by AS1 Adu-Appau he said: " Supporting food banks is a cause close to my heart they play a crucial role in ensuring that individuals and families don’t go hungry.

Been up to much this week? Bet it comes nowhere near the experience of regional Royal Air Force Air Cadets who enjoyed the sortie of a lifetime! Thanks so much to 27 Sqn from @RAF_Odiham who found the time in their exercise schedule to create incredible memories.

It was a privilege to share the centenary birthday celebrations of Arthur Walker. Stn Cdr, Gp Capt ‘Geordie’ Lawson & Sgt Al Waring presented gifts to the former Flight Sergeant who served as a rear gunner with coastal command from 1943 to 1950. A true hero! 🥲🥳🎂

However and wherever you’re spending it, may the coming days bring rest, a smile or two and at least one selection box. From all of us to all of you - Merry Christmas 🎅🧑‍🎄🎄🍫

Whilst most of us can’t wait for the festive break, Christmas is a working time for units deployed overseas, Stn security, MT, catering and fire crews. Delicious goodies donated by the Engagement Team from Tesco's Thirsk branch will go down a treat. Thank you so much!😋🎅🎄🙏

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas on Stn. With nine days to go to the big ho ho, rumours of Santa dashing around site are already rife. Visitors to the Falalala Leeming event were in good tune and spirit, and Christmas Jumper day raised more than £500 for @RAFBF🎅🎄

It’s gone in the blink of an eye but let’s give a warm welcome to our new Stn Cdr. Gp Capt John ‘Geordie’ Lawson takes over from Paul Hamilton, who is moving to the post of Commander Global Enablement. Gp Capt Lawson arrives from the role of COS to Director People (RAF).

'Tis the season to spend time with friends & family, enjoying good food & good company. We love welcoming older members of our community for a Christmas feast & chat. Children from Leeming RAF Community Primary School added to the festive fun with charming carol singing. 🥰🎄🎅🤶

It was a pleasure to welcome Air Marshal Paul Lloyd, for a day including time with 11 Sqn QEAF, 90 SU and 2 C-UAS Wg. Importantly, the day featured the presentation of Long Service and Good Conduct awards and commendations to members of our hard working Whole Force team. 🙌
