.@kassandraETH @ncsgy and others have been working hard for nearly a year on Kohaku. Kohaku's goal is to make two twin properties: * Security (and trustlessness) * Privacy (read and write) a reality on the access layer. Security and privacy on Ethereum must be normal.

For those of you who don't know, Kohaku is a wallet SDK built by the @ethereumfndn that enables any EVM wallet to easily integrate privacy solutions such as Railgun, @0xprivacypools, and @TornadoCash. Kohaku will massively improve the privacy UX on Ethereum, making private transactions as simple as any other. The main hurdle to privacy adoption in crypto has always been UX (see what happened to zcash:native after @zodl_app improved Zcash's UX), so I believe that Kohaku represents a meaningful catalyst for privacy on Ethereum. Just yesterday, the EF shipped code for an alpha version of Kohaku's Railgun integration (Note: Kohaku is already live on testnet, so mainnet is the next step). Furthermore, @ambire, whose wallet was forked by the EF as the source code for Kohaku, is aiming to have the Ambire wallet integrate Kohaku this summer. Once Kohaku is live, I firmly believe that Railgun will be one of the main beneficiaries. Railgun is already the top privacy protocol by revenue, and the Kohaku integration should give it a *massive* distribution advantage that will, hopefully, add multiples to its current metrics. Likewise, RAIL will directly benefit as well. All revenue goes to the Railgun treasury, and 2% of the treasury is distributed to stakers every 2 weeks. This means that 52% of the treasury is distributed to tokenholders every year. RAIL also trades at an extremely favorable valuation. At its current $130 million FDV, it trades far below both the Ethereum ecosystem project and other privacy comps. Additionally, the token is fully circulating, and nearly 74% of it is staked, meaning that: 1) Float is only ~25% of the circulating supply 2) No hidden unlocks to dump on you Finally, with privacy being a hot narrative and Ethereum fully committed to CROPS, it's only a matter of time until Railgun gets its time to shine.

It puts the RAILGUN in the ledger or else it gets the hose again.

RAILGUN is critical Ethereum privacy infrastructure and is the backbone of the Kohaku project. Kohaku will spread access to RAILGUN far and wide across many Ethereum wallets and applications.

@norbertacc @bubbathebeluga @cyrille_briere @ethereum Anyone can make a proposal to change the percentage. There's been a few but only one successful so far. 0.25% deduction, which goes to upgrade security, is lower than uniswap implemented and almost all big defi, by the way.

@bubbathebeluga @cyrille_briere @RAILGUN_Project @ethereum If you don't understand you can't scale a payment app with a 1% fee, then it's on you. This is what every privacy protocol screws up: greed. Charge 0.001% and the hole chain is gonna push all their TXs through the platform.
