Lastly, we've shown that the sensors express well in mice and zebrafish and are responsive to PACAP injections (cannulation and ICV, respectively). If you are interested in using the sensors for your own experiment, check out addgene or get in touch with me. Always happy to help!

In addition to mammalian PACAP, PAClight1_P78A was shown to also sense zebrafish and chicken PACAP with similar potency, as well as Maxadilan (a PAC1-specific agonist from sandfly) ,albeit with reduced potency.
