NaSha forever!!

And it’s a wrap!!! I’ve watched #PyarKaDardHai several times over the past four years, and have to say that despite being a simple, traditional story about a joint family, it was truly a show well ahead of its times; although all the more relevant in today’s day and age. Every actor did complete justice to their characters, and the growth in @NakuulMehta & @disha11parmar across the span of those 663 episodes is a treat to watch. Will miss doing these recaps till our dear #NaSha come back with something new! @rajshri

Ep.664 - “Parivaar ka pyaar” P is heartbroken when Adi drives away after getting upset with her about keeping her pregnancy news from him. She walks into the house and decides not to say anything to the family yet, but is surprised when they congratulate her excitedly. Everyone celebrates the good news, and ask where Adi is, but P quickly makes up an excuse for his absence. Later she tells dadaji why Adi is missing, unaware that Sheela has also heard their conversation. Everyone worries about where Adi has gone, but are unable to get in touch with him. However, just as suddenly as Adi had left, he comes back and tells everyone that it’s time to celebrate.  P gets upset when Adi starts teasing her, but he apologises, and hugs her lovingly.  The family reminisce all their happy times, and vow to make even more beautiful memories together.  As the Diwan family sign off one last time, mamaji’s spirit arrives and reminds us all that there’s no place like family!  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri @NakuulMehta @disha11parmar

Ep.662 - “Family fun”  After much coaxing from by the family, R forgives Payal. P remembers PD and the emphasis he always laid on family. Everyone gets emotional thinking about the joys and sorrows they’ve gone through together, so H & Adi offer to lighten the mood by cooking dinner.  After a chaotic and fun filled dinner, Adi - P give Av the world tour tickets the H had bought for their anniversary, and insist that the two of them take this trip.  As they drive back home after dropping H & Av to the airport, Ayush casually asks Adi - P who between the two of them loves the other one more; which leads to a major argument with P saying Adi loves her more, while Afi insists that no one can love the way she loves him. Everyone is amused by Adi - P’s immense love for eo, along with their constant banter.  Payal tells P she was wrong to think that she could take P’s place in managing the house, and requests her to take charge once again. At the breakfast table, both Adi & P prove that as much as they fight with eo, there is no end to the depth of the love they share.  Payal asks the family if she can organise a party to celebrate that their family’s togetherness. Everyone thinks it’s a great idea, so Payal excitedly says she will start the preparations for it.  Adi teases P yet again, but this time she genuinely gets upset with him.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.663 - “Time to celebrate” Adi & P realise that their fight was ridiculous as both are incomplete without eo.  P finds out she’s pregnant. Overwhelmed, she runs down to share the good news with Adi & the family. However, as she’s walking down the stairs, she hears Adi tell everyone how he dreads the idea of becoming a father, and is not prepared for such a big responsibility. Panic stricken about how he’s going to react to the news of her pregnancy, she is unable to say anything.  Adi - P recall the early days of their relationship which led to their immortal love story. As Anuj & Sheela welcome their guests, Sheela talks about her relationship with his sisters, rough on the outside, but full of love & care nonetheless.  Payal thanks P for standing by her through thick and thin, and helping her learn from all her past mistakes, while Rubel tells Adi that he owes all his happiness and goodness to him & P, who helped him leave all his bitterness & negativity behind. Ay gives Adi an envelope, the contents of which shock him completely.  Pankhuri’s family arrives from Kullu. Dadaji tells Anuj & Sheela that he’s happy they accepted Ayush into their home and family.  Adi calls P into the porch. She goes to meet him, intending to tell him about her pregnancy, but he gets upset with her for hiding such a big thing from him. She tries to justify herself saying she got nervous about his reaction, but he refuses to listen to anything, gets into his car and leaves in a huff.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.661 - “Reconciliation & redemption”  H breaks down uncontrollably to hear that Av has left. A devastated Adi tries to console his dad, and promises him that they’ll follow her to the USA and bring her back.  Sheela catches Payal talking to the journalist, confirming her suspicions. Livid, she tells Anuj & Rubel that Payal was the one who leaked their family secret to the media. R is disgusted and tells Payal to leave his house & family forever.  A heartbroken H & Adi come back to DM. H tells the family that he has lost Av because he allowed his ego to become bigger than his love for her. He goes into Av’s room and tells her picture how sorry he is for letting her go. Suddenly, he hears her voice call out to him, and comes running out to find her. Convinced that she’s hiding right there, he desperately starts looking for her and calling out her name, but the rest of the family tell him she’s gone.  Hopeless, he falls to the ground lamenting that he’s lost her forever, when Av actually appears before him. H & Av hug eo warmly, and now never to let go again.  P tells H that it was Ayush who convinced Av to come back, saying he wanted to live with his mother & his father. A nervous Ay walks out of the room, and H embraces him, saying he now has both his sons by his side.  As the family celebrates being back together, R tells them what Payal did, as a result of which she has to leave DM forever. Payal begs for their forgiveness, and both Av & P tell R that she deserves a chance for redemption, but he refuses saying she has failed them time and again, and must leave this time.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.660 - “A sudden departure” Av assures Adi & P that she’ll handle the media. Later that night, she asks Shanky for some help. He agrees, despite it being a very difficult thing for him to do.  At the press conference the next morning, Av accepts that all the stories published about her having a son out of wedlock are true. She shares the entire truth about her past, but makes it clear that her personal choices have nothing to do with her professional role as mayor of the city. Payal is defeated when Av resigns from her post voluntarily, saying she will always choose dignity over power. The entire media hails her as an exemplary mother. Av uses the media to send a send an apology msg to H via a live news stream, where she says she loved him more than anyone else and will always do so. However, everyone is shocked when she says that she is taking Ay and moving to America.  Dumbfounded, Adi & the family ask the media for some privacy, and beg Av to reconsider, but she says that all the formalities have been completed, and that she & Ay will be leaving momentarily.  As Av’s car pulls away, P jumps in with her. Adi runs to stop them, but the car drives away just as H arrives.  Adi calls P and asks her to put the phone in speaker. H addresses the media with a msg for Av, begging her to stay, and saying that henceforth Ay will be known as his son.  Adi & H race to the airport, but are devastated to find that Av’s flight has already left.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.658 - “Avantika under fire”  Adi loses his temper when the media starts making ugly accusations about Av, and gets into a scuffle with a journalist. Av & P take him inside while R apologises to the media personnel, assuring them that they will get their answers in due time.  Meanwhile, Payal calls up a journalist friend of hers and tells him to make sure every sordid detail of Av’s past is printed in the newspaper. Sheela suspects Payal and warns her that she better not be doing anything to harm their family.  Adi apologises to Av and encourages her to go back to work, and face whatever challenges may come head on. P spends time with H and tries to bring him to forgiving Av.  Everyone is shocked when the morning newspaper carries complete details of Av’s past, along with the story of Adi’s fight with a reporter. Adi & Av are surrounded by media on their way out of the house. A special meeting is called to discuss the scandal surrounding Av, where the committee members demand her resignation. However, she tells them that her personal life has nothing to do with her professional role, and refuses to resign on that basis.  Av tells the family that she’s decided to hold a press conference and answer the media’s questions. Anuj tells H, who is worried about the situation getting out of hand when the journalists start asking Av difficult questions. Anuj requests H to talk to her, but H says he cannot support Av in this matter.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.657 - “Khoon ke rishte” Adi is confused when Ay’s kidnappers appear to be non threatening in every way. R arrives with bad, and tells them that the kidnappers are in fact his friends, and that the whole thing was a plan to get Adi to accept Ay and come back home. Av gets angry with R but Adi stops her and says that he was at fault for dealing with Ay so immaturely. He hugs Ay warmly and then apologises to Av for misbehaving with her. Av thanks R for reuniting her with her sons. Adi, P, R & Av come back to DM with Ay. R tells the family about his plan, and everyone except Payal is thrilled with how everything worked out. She storms out when the family is sitting together, saying she will not forgive that they accused her of being behind the kidnapping.  H also comes to DM and Adi tells him what had really happened. Adi tries convincing H to forgive Av and accept Ay, but H tells Adi that he will always be his only son.  Anuj, Av, R, Sheela, Adi & P start geti g calls from the media simultaneously and are shocked when they ask about Ay. Unaware that Payal has leaked the information to take her revenge, they decided not to react to the questions and let her rumours die down.  However, the situation gets extremely tense when a horde of media personnel show up at DM and demand answers from Av.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.657 - “Rescue mission” Av feels dizzy with stress, so Adi takes her to her room, but refuses to talk to her. P asks Adi why he’s punishing her for supporting Av, but he tells her that he’s upset because she kept the truth from him.  The kidnapper calls Adi again, and makes him hear Ay’s panic stricken screams. Adi requests R to get the kidnapper’s call traced so they can find out where Ay is.  Av tells Adi that she knows she has wronged H, and should have told him about her past, but it’s too late now. H calls again and asks Adi to take care of Av.  Sheela suspects Payal of foul play and warns her not to do anything to hurt their family. However, Payal continues to say grossly offensive things, and Sheela gives her a tight slap across her face.  Adi is shocked when the kidnapper calls him again and tells him to stop trying to trace his calls, and asks Adi for fifty lakh rupees as ransom.  Adi tells Anuj & R that he’s going to take the money and go to rescue Ay, but R says they can’t allow him to put himself in danger. Av comes in and says she can’t risk one son’s like for another, but Adi says he has to go. P insists on going with him so the two of them leave. Adi finds the abandoned car as instructed by the kidnapper, and follows the lead. R & Av also decides to go and help Adi in case the kidnappers are dangerous.  Adi apologises to P for being harsh with her.  Adi - P reach the said location, but the kidnapper says they’re too late. However, they run inside the warehouse and start calling out for Ay. They finally see Ay tied to a chair at the back, and rush over there to free him. Adi hugs Ay warmly and thanks God that he’s safe. Adi - P are surprised when Ay starts laughing.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.656 - “Ayush is kidnapped” Payal tells Av that Ayush’s presence in the house will only make the situation worse for the entire family, but Av makes it clear that Ay is as much her priority as Adi is. A furious Payal walks out of Av’s room and starts spewing venom about Ay in front of R. Av & P try to stop Payal but she continues ranting. Everyone is shocked when R says he agrees with her, and that Ay is responsible for all the problems between the family members. Anuj arrives and apologises to Av, asking R & Payal to go to their room. P tries to console Av saying everyone will accept Ay eventually, but Av says she’s only worries about Adi.  Later at night, R tells P that he believes Ay is the cause of all the problems between family members. He calls Adi and tells him not to punish P, but Adi says he doesn’t want to discuss this matter. Frustrated, R decides that he needs to take a drastic step before things get worse.  The next morning, Av is panic stricken as Ay is nowhere to be found. The entire house is searched, and things get even more confusing when the guard says he did not leave the premises.  Payal tells Sheela that she can’t wait to get Ay out of the house. Sheela says that while Av & she have had their differences, they have always stood by eo in times of need, and Sheela will not betray her trust this time either. Av walks in and Payal says she’s not interested in ruining her day with another pointless discussion. Av follows her into the hall, where Payal’s rude comments shock everyone.  Just then, Adi arrives and tells Av that Ay has not run away, but been kidnapped. Ep.655 - “Choosing sides” P tells Av that they must go to H’s house to try and talk to him. Av agrees that she needs to face him & Adi.  Adi spends time with his dad, and tries to help him relax.  Payal tells Sheela not to tolerate Ay in the house, saying he will soon become another contender for a share of the Diwan fortune, but Sheela gets angry and tells her to stop creating problems within the family to satisfy her insatiable greed. Later, Sheela recalls P’s request from her & Anuj to help bring H & Av back together.  Av & P come to H’s house, where Av begs for his forgiveness, but H says he’s not interested in anything she has to say and asks them to leave.  Adi comes back to have lunch with H, but is shocked when he sees him near collapse. Anuj also arrives, and H tells them that he got stressed after Av came.  Adi storms into DM and gets upset with Av for going to see H, which only caused him more stress and made him feel unwell. He forbids Av from bothering H again, and then drops a bombshell saying he is leaving DM to go and live with his father from now on. R & Sh try to stop him but he walks away. Payal tells P that Ay’s presence in the house will only increase everyone’s problems.  Sh informs Anuj about Adi’s decision and asks him to find a solution. As Anuj stays with H to give him support, Sh comforts Av & tells her that they will stand by her through thick and thin.  Adi comes back to his dad’s house, where H gets livid with him for disrespecting Av & leaving, but Adi insists on staying there.  P feels lost without Adi. Adi feels terrible to know that he’s hurting P for no fault of her own.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.654 - “Broken hearts” Broken after H & Adi leave, Av tells Anuj that she’s feeling completely helpless. P tells her that Ay needs her the most right now, and she must fulfil her duty towards him, assuring her that H & Adi will eventually understand and accept him as well.  H tells Adi that he just wants to be left alone, so Adi decides not to go after him. P & Av come to the outhouse. Av tells Ay that she will never leave him again, and takes him to DM with herself. P asks Mrs. Verma to stay with them, but she says she must leave not that Ay has got his real family.  A devastated Adi comes back home, and tells P that he wants answers from Av. He becomes even more furious when P mentions that she’d found out about Ay the previous day but did not tell him.  Adi comes to Av’s room but finds Ay sleeping with her head upon her lap, and walks out dejectedly. Av starts crying which bothers Ay. He tells Av that he’ll tell Adi not to hurt her anymore. Av tries stopping him as he walks towards Adi’s room but hits her leg, and can’t go after him.  P tells Adi to try and forgive Av, but he says he can’t accept what has happened. Ay storms in and asks Adi to apologise to their mother, but Adi simply tries to walk away. Ay slips on a bottle lying on the floor and falls, just as Av comes there. Thinking Adi has pushed him, she shouts in anger, but regrets it the moment she realizes what had really happened. Av begs P to help her and breaks down in her arms. R is livid when Payal brings up Ay as another contender for the Diwan family’s wealth. Adi comes to R’s room, who tries to comfort him.  P comes there, but Adi gets upset when she tells him to understand Av’s situation. He walks away saying it’s better the two of them stop talking as well since they are clearly in differed sides.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.653 - “Ateet ka sach” Everyone is shell shocked when Ay claims that Av is his mother. Adi tries to get him away from her, and then requests his amma to take him home. Sheela accuses Mrs. Verma of orchestrating this fraud, so she goes up to Ay and pulls him away, even as Av is too broken to react. As Av sees Ay being taken away forcefully, she breaks down and asks them to stop. She grabs onto H and falls onto her knees, admitting that Ay is indeed her son, sending shockwaves through everyone in the room. She walks down and hugs Ay. Adi, still in disbelief, tells Av to stop lying, but she says she’s telling the truth. Av then tells the family the story of how she was in love with another man who was killed in an accident, soon after which she found out that she was pregnant. PD moved her to Delhi where she was told that she’d given birth to a still born baby. Mrs. Verma then continues and tells them how PD paid her to raise Ay, so that Av could move on in her life. She also tells them that Ay’s father had bought the ring for Av, but was unable to give it to her in his lifetime.  P asks why Mrs.Verma decided to reveal this truth now, to which she says that she’s terminally ill and had to make sure Ay finds his family who can look after him once she’s gone.  A devastated H tells Av that he lived in guilt for over 20 years believing that he was not good enough for her, and says that he is now as good as dead. P tired to defend Av saying she was not aware of the child’s existence, but H erupts saying that she was aware of the fact that she had an affair and got pregnant, which she hid from him their entire life.  H’s anger bubbles over and her storms out, despite Av begging his forgiveness. Hysterical, she begs Adi to talk to his dad, but Adi says he cannot stand by his mother anymore. Av breaks down but Adi walks away saying his dad needs him.  P grabs Av as she collapses in a heap of tears.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.652 - “The ring” As preparations for the party are underway at DM, Adi sees a woman standing outside the gate and is overjoyed when she tells him that she’s Ayush’s amma and wants to meet him.  P is anxious about the 24 hour deadline getting over soon, when Adi comes in and says he has a surprise for Ay. P is shocked when it turns out that he’s got Ay’s amma with him.  P desperately calls Av, but Av does not answer, wanting to honour her promise to H.  Av is shocked when H drives her to DM as the location for her surprise anniversary celebration. The entire family greet them lovingly, but P & Av exchange worriedly knowing glances. Adi says he has one more surprise and calls Ay out, followed by his amma. Unaware of her real intentions, R & H welcome her graciously. Av excuses herself and goes inside, after which Mrs.Verma also goes in, looking for the washroom. She finds Av in the kitchen, and warns her to tell the truth as the deadline is fast approaching.  The two ladies come out, and Adi requests H to say a few words for Av. H makes an eloquent speech about what Av means to him, and then says he has got tickets for the two of them to go on a world tour. Adi also brings out his gift, a treasure chest of their fondest memories together, and then asks Ay to come up and give them his gift as well.  Ay hands over the drawing he’s made of H & Av, after which H says he has one final gift to give. He gets down on one knee and takes out a beautiful ring. As he’s about to slip it on Av’s finger, Ay realises his own ring isn’t in his pocket and starts panicking. Everyone starts looking for his ring, when Av finds it on the floor next to her. Ay runs up to get it, and then, without thinking, slips it on Av’s finger, screaming in joy when it fits her. Everyone is dumbfounded when Ay suddenly says that Av is his mother, and calling her maa, grabs her in a tight hug.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri

Ep.651 - “Ghosts of the past” P follows Av’s car to her house. They get off on the street, where Av breaks down in front of P, saying she is going to lose her family. P tells Av that while the truth may cause problems initially, eventually everything will work out. Adi calls Payal and asks her if they can have a small celebratory dinner for Av - H’s anniversary at DM. Payal & Sh are reluctant but Payal is unable to say no in front of R. R makes it clear to his wife & mother that he wants them to be fully involved in the celebration.  A devastated Av tells P that she doesn’t know how to handle this situation, which Adi comes down and asks them what has happened. P quickly comes up with an excuse saying Av is stressed due to her work. Adi grabs Av in a tight hug and assures her that they’re all there for her.  H is surprised when Av comes home and feels particularly affectionate towards him. He senses her vulnerability and takes care of her lovingly.  On their way home, Adi tells P that H & he have planned a surprise dinner for Av for her anniversary. P says it’s a great idea but worries about Mrs.Verma’s 24 hour deadline to Av.  Ay storms into DM looking for P to go and search for his amma. Adi - P come home just in time, and P takes Ay back to the outhouse. Everybody wonders who amma is.  G calls Adi and informs him that he has found out that Ay was raised by a mystery lady, who Adi guesses is the amma Ay was referring to. G assures him that he’ll find out where this lady lives asap. Adi feels optimistic but P feels guilty about keeping a massive truth from him.  Ay asks Adi what he should gift H & Av for their anniversary, so Adi suggests he make them a nice sketch.  The next morning, H gives Av the gift he’s bought for her, and asks for her undivided attention all day in return. Aware of the clock ticking, Av puts everything else aside, and agrees to his request. She turns her phone off, and grabs H in a big hug.  #PyarKaDardHai #PKDH #PaYa @rajshri
