We are weeks away from Baby Moe number four joining us outside the womb. It’s a boy. Names are still being negotiated. I like Elijah Paul. Kara likes Joshua, John Luke, and is pushing hard for the middle name Brave. We’ll see who wins. I won with Isaiah’s name. She won with Hollyn’s. Every one of our pregnancies has had its own story. Our first was a miscarriage. Devastating, as you can probably imagine. Then came Haven. Easy pregnancy, easy delivery. A gift after a hard season. Then Isaiah. Kara had placenta previa, which forced an emergency C-section. Isaiah spent 31 days in the NICU. We took turns staying with him around the clock. That was our most difficult season as a family. Then another miscarriage. A second one doesn’t make it easier. Then Hollyn. Better pregnancy until the end. She was breech, and we couldn’t get her to flip. Turns out the cord was wrapped around her neck, keeping her from turning. Another C-section. Another hard delivery. Each kid had been about two years apart. We gave Kara a year to heal before trying again. This time she didn’t get that break. We found out she was pregnant about 3.5 months after Hollyn was born. Kara wasn’t exactly thrilled. I, on the other hand, was fired up about it. Don’t tell her I said that. This pregnancy has been pretty smooth. Baby is head down, right where he’s supposed to be. We are in the calm before the storm. Anyone who’s brought a new baby home, especially with other kids who have to adjust to the new normal, knows exactly what I mean. Kara is nesting. I’m in the middle of a big growth phase for the business, trying to move as fast as I can before he arrives. We’re installing the car seat, packing hospital bags, doing all the things. One more detail: Kara wants to do a natural birth this time. Which means my job just got significantly harder. 😬 I need two prayers from you. First, and most urgently. That hospital couch-bed is awful. I expect many of you to check in on me personally and make sure I’m surviving. I’m the one fighting real adversity here. Second, and I suppose more importantly – a healthy baby and an easy delivery. Big changes coming to the Moe house. We can’t wait.

Lady Vols guard and former five-star recruit Jaida Civil has entered the transfer portal, leaving coach Kim Caldwell with ZERO players on the roster. Civil, one of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class, will enter the portal after just one season on Rocky Top. Civil, a McDonald’s All-American, posted 6.4 points per game on 41.5% shooting in 30 appearances. The #LadyVols have lost 13 players since the end of the 2025-26 season due to eligibility or entering the transfer portal. Tennessee Basketball assistant and former NBA scout Gregg Polinsky says that Nate Ament should go to the NBA Draft 🍊 “Of course he has got to go,” said Polinsky in an interview with FanRun Radio’s The Drive on Thursday. “…if he was my son, I’m telling him he’s got to go.” Polinsky added that he would be surprised if Ament did not land in the lottery, and that all “intelligent NBA guy’s” will evaluate his size and frame, his pre-injury performance, and how he continued to play instead of sitting out. The former NBA scout shared that having the opportunity to coach Ament this season will be one of the “great things” he remembers, and would obviously welcome him back if he so chooses. Two things that stands out watching Belmont transfer Tyler Lundblade: -How quick his release is. -How effective he is shooting on the move. Those two things help mitigate concerns about him adjusting to life in the SEC.
