One St Patrick’s day my father asked me to turn the corn beef and cabbage down to low after boiling for 1/2 hour. He left to go to the bar for a drink. 3 hours later he returned to find a burnt mess all the water was boiled down. I thought he was going to cry. He said Get out!

Actually he said get the fuck out and don’t come back for 24 hours. I couldn’t even argue. It was my fault I ruined my dad’s meal he was looking forward too after drinking for 3 hours. The entire time thinking about tender corn beef and soft potatoes and cabbage. I deserved it.

@64bitAtheist I may not be able to duplicate the basket guard exactly because I do everything by hand but I can make something similar and definitely usable.

@RBlademaker Any chance of getting a quote for a Cromwell War Rapier? I'd like to actually be able to use it, not just have a wall hanger. I can't get good info on the steel these come in, so I suspect wall hanger.

Sometimes I get depressed 😔. Life is hard and the bills never stop. Then I remember that I can make swords and my wife and kids love me. So it’s not that bad after all.

@RBlademaker Kiddo was on my lap when we looked at this, and we both agreed it was the most "short sword" looking short sword we'd ever seen. . 100% nailed the concept of the "Short Sword" as I picture it in inventory :D

@OutlawS0UL Probably get a small setup to start for around 500.00. But as far as difficulty it’s hard to say. If you have a construction background it might be easier. If you have never swung a hammer or grinded metal in your life pretty hard I’d imagine.
