#RCMPNB reminds everyone that impairment applies to all forms of transportation, including cars, motorcycles, boats, ATVs, and snowmobiles.

March 15–21 is #NationalImpairedDrivingPreventionWeek. It’s a time to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving—whether due to alcohol, drugs, fatigue, or distraction.

The individual involved in this hit and run has died as a result of their injuries. Police are now releasing a stock image of that vehicle in hopes that someone may recognize it. The vehicle would have significant front‑end damage.

Both eastbound lanes of Route 2 near #SwanCreek are now closed. There is a detour in place near kilometer marker 318, between #Oromocto and #Gagetown. If you are travelling in the area, expect delays or plan an alternate route.

Due to a collision, one of the eastbound lanes of Route 2 near #SwanCreek is closed. Please avoid the area and allow police to do their work. #ExpectDelays

Police would like to provide an update on the assault that occurred in #Atholville. Although the incident took place on December 30, 2025, police were only notified on February 11, 2026. The individual is now suffering from life‑threatening injuries.
