As we open the doors to the new RCSI School of Dentistry, take a look back at the interesting and sometimes surprising history of dental education at the RCSI.

Dental care had been an unregulated practice often carried out by barbers and blacksmiths, and this all changed in the 19th century when the RCSI launched Ireland’s first dental qualification.

To mark @HeritageWeek, @RCSILibrary are unveiling a newly catalogued and digitised archive collection from one of Ireland’s most significant pharmacy chains, Hayes, Conyngham & Robinson. Founded in 1897, it grew to become one of the largest Irish-owned pharmacy chains in Ireland.
