I tweeted this earlier but I fear some people misunderstand. I wanted to highlight my (and others’) experience as a match-going fan at the minute. These are 9 things that make me feel out of touch with the club I love. [Thread]

City are a joke. I can’t go tonight due to childcare. Trying to give my ticket to another fan (who has the *paid* membership they need just to receive a ticket) is like trying to complete a degree-level neuroscience exam. Why are they so intent on ensuring the stadium is empty?

Yet another grim example of anti-fan bollocks from @ManCity. Truly ripping out the soul of the club and attempting to squeeze money out of every source, rather than focus on filling stadiums and creating an atmosphere.

So our petty sod of a ticket compliance officer has had the FB face value spares page taken down for copyright. 12 years work gone into that. Stopped a massive amount of people being scammed and sorted tickets out for thousands over the years. Pathetic. What a sorry state

Rodri flirting with Real Madrid so openly - which he's now done multiple times - is hilarious. City don't have prestige, history or respect & they know it. It's why Pep carries on the way he does & why their fans lash out when they hear the brutal truth about who & what they truly are. They're always just going to be City, a sportswashing play thing who have disgraced the recent history of English football with a giant stain & endless asterisks.

No interest in seeing Rodri play for us next year. Don’t like players who flirt with clubs publicly. Get a fee for him and move on. Not interested in watching him beg for a move in the media.

This Arsenal side learned a lesson today. You’ve not won anything until you’ve won anything. They turned up expecting to grind it out no problem. They will win trophies this season but today is a backwards step in reaching the heights that City/Liverpool have in the last decade.

Proper, proper performance from City. Fucking brilliant. Every one of them was fantastic. It felt like a different kind of cup win to the previous ones. Maybe the end of an era in some respects but also the beginning of a new one. Some seriously high-ceiling players here.

Not bothering with the, ‘City were admirable tonight’. Another failure in Europe. Obliterated last week by the worst Madrid side we’ve played. Miles off the sides of the past, still. Sunday is a chance to salvage the season somewhat. Lose that and it’s almost curtains.

City are in full ‘try and win a trophy’ mode. League title is over. The fact we’re in March and had a chance is because Arsenal are crap, not because of us being decent. CL isn’t going to happen. Both domestic cups can. Win one or win both and salvage the season.

Cherki’s omission from most of the recent XIs feels a bit like when Pep dropped Walker in the treble run-in (not in terms of success or would-be success). Clearly excellent but has decided tactically to go elsewhere and Cherki doesn’t fit currently. I’m sure he will again.

@RCorless33 Guy’s got 22 G&A in his first season. Seems very odd to just decide he doesn’t fit. Especially if you consider Pep’s management of him in general (look at how he acts when he subs Cherki etc)
