EW pushing for this because the optimal “corruption” path now is not stock trading but participation is limited partner in a minority stake on an LLC that owns say a multi—family building that receives vouchers for housing immigrants, etc. Way more difficult to pierce. You actually want a vehicle for corruption that is as easy and transparent as possible. You will not succeed in legislating corruption away. Only through cultural pressure/policy can you manage corruption. The US and Liberia more or less have the same Constitution but the US has less corruption. That’s a cultural difference not a legal difference.
