We saw a decent uptick in home sales in February and an upwardly revised figure in January. Home sales prices continue to grow, but the pace has softened notably. This price trend alongside lower rates and rising incomes, has helped to improve homebuyer affordability. #NAREHS

Home sales had a disappointing January dropping to 3.91M while prices rose 0.9%. Winter storms make it harder to parse how much of the weakness is trend vs. noise. Widespread regional weakness suggests that both factors contributed. realtor.com/research/exist…

Existing-home sales picked up in November, but fell short of the year-ago pace as price growth moderated. Lower mortgage rates played a role, and are likely to help sustain this momentum in the months ahead as they remain low. More analysis here: realtor.com/research/exist…

A decent reading for existing home sales of 4.00M in Aug per @NAR_Research. This was 0.2% lower than July but up 1.8% from the prior year. Lower mortgage rates haven't led to a surge, but are helping on the margin as the market rebalances. #NAREHS

Last week, mortgage rates hit a new 11-month low as the Fed's widely anticipated rate cut became a reality. This could spark some homebuyer interest just as we're nearing the best time of the year to buy a home according to the data. youtu.be/Ax4v89rUh9M
