@RScottClark @JohnStSomething @KromerHarry It's entirely possible -- even likely -- that the presbytery is fully aware of the shepherdesses. Notice how they were announced more or less equally with the elders. It is not incidental that you have this and apostasy to Rome.

Shepherdess is not a biblical church office. It's not in the PCA BCO. How does a presbytery not know that one of their congregations has "shepherdesses"?

@thisisfoster One more thing: the most important issue in this matter is the honor of Christ. To endorse Rome is to endorse the denigrating of the atoning work of our Lord. To celebrate the Lord's Supper with an apostate Roman pastor is to profane the sacrament.

@thisisfoster And why was the Littlepage family given a blessing by the PCA's head of home missions? I do not think that MNA has abandoned the gospel, but where was the discernment that would speak biblical truth into this horrible situation? What about the souls of the church members?

Alright, here are a few quick clips of a #PCA in #NAPARC where a Teaching Elder (Pastor Joel Littlepage) says this: "...I want everyone to hear it from me as your pastor, because you're gonna hear it either way. We had discerned, Melissa and I, in our journey seeking the Lord's face, is that our calling was to come into full communion and unity with the Catholic Church." And then serves communion to the congregation, including Teaching Elder and the current Mission to North America coordinator Irwyn Ince. At the end of the service, TE Irwyn Ince sends them out with prayers and blessings, saying: "I'm gonna ask, uh, most particularly GMO's elder shepherdesses, leaders, come surround them, and anyone else who wants to come on down to the front. Put your hands on our dear Littlepages, as we get to go before the Lord on their behalf, understanding that as said before the service, this is just see you soon, not full goodbye." He's right though. Read Matt 28:18, WCF 1.10, and BFM1963 1. Biblical authority cannot be unhitched from Christology and Pnematology. The Bible is not a magical book of rules, it is nested within the triune economy of revelation and redemption.

@djhailey How would you know that God’s Son was incarnate, offered himself as a propitiation, was raised, was exalted, and is returning to judge the living and the dead without reading or hearing it from the Bible. That’s the issue.

About the "He Gets Us" ads: The incarnation without the atonement is not the gospel. A crossless Christ is not Christianity.

@kennysilva @mbird12 The American church is being winnowed by a hostile culture and the temptation to accommodate it. We will be stronger as a result. Smaller, probably, but stronger.

@mbird12 @RDP4Christ You're right, but in the context of Stanley's other teachings, it sure seems like he's trying to drive a wedge between Jesus and the Bible. I doubt he's working with a sophisticated understanding (or even awareness) of WCF 1.10 or its copied and pasted cousins.
