Was Ladybird a dysfunctional family? I remember Ladybird’s mom being very caring and Ladybird mainly being embarrassed her family was poor. I enjoyed it but don’t remember a particularly dysfunctional family, more typical teenage alienation. Was there a major dysfunction?
