(Amanda) These trees in front of the veranda are full of flowers now. They don't last very long but the humans really love them. I've heard the humans talking about the wonderful 'blossom'. I didn't know what that was but now I realise it means 'flowers'. Maybe it's only for special plants, I've never heard them talk about the blossom on weeds. What do you think, do weeds have blossom?

(Janet) Auntie Sammy brought me a lovely treat yesterday - real chicken! She stayed with me while I ate it to make sure that Maurine didn't get any of it. She told me she'd already given him some but he is such a quick eater that he might have followed her to my plot to eat mine too. I really enjoyed it, it made a nice change from the sachets I usually have. Betty said a change is as good as a rest but she's always saying weird things and I don't know what she means. Do you?

(Amanda) On Sunday the humans are having another 'Tea & Chat' morning in the veranda. One of the humans usually brings some cake to share. I think it's a good idea because some of them are a bit lonely and it helps them to meet other humans and have a chat with them. Betty says that allotments are not just about gardening and I think she's right. What do you think?

(Janet) It was a sunny day when Auntie Rachel took this photo of me. It's funny how sunshine cheers everyone up isn't it? Especially in the winter. I know that lots of humans feel a bit fed up at this time of year but the weather doesn't really affect me too much. So long as I have food and a fuss I'm happy. I'm easily pleased, aren't I?

Winter in Arizona usually means snowbirds, busy restaurants, and Canadians spending money in our communities. But this year they’re staying home because Trump insulted them and slapped tariffs on their country. Arizona tourism is paying the price.
