For whatever reason, I never tweeted about when I defended my dissertation or got either of my post-PhD jobs. I think I struggle with sharing good news? So it's with a ton of joy that I share that as of 7/1, I will be tenured and promoted to Associate Professor!!!

I really appreciate the community from academic and higher ed twitter, but it's time to create that community in other spaces, especially IRL.

This is past due, but I'm exiting this site pretty much now. You can find me on instagram (though not much professional stuff happening there, mostly my dog), I'll try to remember my password for bluesky, you can always find my institutional email on the internet.

Just got an email that I’m eligible to take faculty sabbatical next year!!! How I’m feeling all at once (🙏🏾🥳👴🏾). We just take it right?? Write a boom or something 🤭 All our faculty workshops end once you get tenure so, any advice plz or share what y’all did with the time. Thx

Just submitted grades for the last class I'll teach for a year. Don't get me wrong, I adore my students and teaching is what really keeps me in academia - it brings me so much joy. But it's hard to be engaged and empathetic and timely and all that!! And I'm tired 😴😴😴

Sabbatical hasn't officially started yet, but I went to the grocery store in voluminous, flowy overalls and crocs in the middle of a Tuesday, so I have high hopes. Anyway, also, I'm looking for virtual or IRL writing buddies for the coming year! DM me!
