At the risk of oversharing personally, this week we unexpectedly lost my son's home health nurse, my husband had surgery, and today the 8 baby chickens Ive been raising for 3 months were all gotten by a mink.

Are there any literary agents who aren't looking from people from 'under represented backgrounds'? And how do the hell do they know anyway? It's not like when you query, you open with: "Hi, I'm Charlotte, I grew up working class and most authors are middle class, by the way, my mum was an alcoholic and raised us on her own." No. I'll never stick this in a query because I think books should be judged on their merit, not on the victim status of their authors.

@mkallen7 My six year old is disabled and needs a changing table. My husband has gotten very comfortable saying "IM A DAD AND I NEED TO COME IN PLEASE" He has never once been told no or spoken to negatively

I've been asked to check on a little girl by a dad who was afraid to enter the bathroom for stuff like this, I would absolutely be okay with him going in there. I've also been the mom who kept a little girl in the bathroom while her mom had her sister in a stall. Moms are moms.

I have been on vacation in Gatlinburg, TN the past week and a half, but this morning my parents took my kids and headed back to Ohio while my Husband (Bless him, man) is letting me Passenger Princess my way straight to Chicago for @writingdaywksp !
