@Patriot_S_A How does someone serving a life sentence even manage to escape? Serious questions need to be asked about security. First there was that scandal with a warder, now this escape , something is clearly wrong. The whole system of prison guards needs serious review and accountability.

Thulane Gcaleka, a convicted offender serving life sentences, has been re-arrested after escaping from a KwaZulu-Natal prison farm on 5 February 2026. He was tracked down in Gauteng and taken back to prison. He previously made headlines for a video with a correctional warder.
