Detroit police officer Zachary Melvin pulled over a Black woman named Tracey Allen last year for minor traffic violations – but ended up shooting her six times. Luckily, she survived.
But within hours after the October 26 shooting, Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison criminalized Allen by telling reporters she had refused to provide her information before driving off with Melvin clinging to her car, fearing for his life.
The chief then realized he was wrong after watching the body camera video, calling another press conference the following day to tell reporters that not only had Allen handed the officer her information but that Melvin had committed multiple policy violations that led to the shooting. Charges against Allen were quickly dismissed while the cop was suspended without pay.

Massachusetts officer Samantha Pelrine and her husband, Daniel Forand, have been charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting their adopted son over a period of years while acting as his state approved caregivers. A child the government claimed to remove for his safety was instead placed in the custody of people now accused of being his abusers.
Allegations like these call for an independent investigation, full accountability for the individuals charged, and scrutiny of every agency that approved, monitored, or signed off on this placement. It raises serious questions about how children are screened into foster and adoptive homes connected to law enforcement, how complaints or warning signs are handled, and what reforms are needed so no child is ever left unprotected because an officer’s uniform or institutional reputation came first.

Mangione is pleading not guilty, therefore he is going to trial, therefore he is not getting a lesser sentence.

Chad Bianco really seized over 650,000 ballots based on conspiracy theories that don’t even hold up to basic scrutiny. No credible fraud. No real discrepancy.
