From November 5 to December 7, the Museo Tamayo presents the XX Bienal Rufino Tamayo.
In this edition, artist Francisco Muñoz received an honorable mention for his work “El sol cuando es de noche”, a piece inspired by a Japanese noren that explores the tension between light and darkness, the visible and the hidden, through a deeply poetic pictorial language.

Today, 100 years ago in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela, one of the most important and influential Latin American artists in contemporary history was born, Jesús Rafael Soto.
Over the course of a five-decade career, Soto explored the notion of the immaterial and went beyond the representation of two-dimensional geometric forms. Through the incorporation of movement, time and the dematerialization of volume, Soto developed an artistic production that has challenged the static nature of traditional art, gaining worldwide recognition for its ability to captivate audiences of all cultures.
This week we celebrate the centenary of Jesús Rafael Soto and his magnificent legacy to the history of art.
Infinite thanks Soto!

Visit our new exhibition "cosmic rational" by the German multidisciplinary artist Matthias Bitzer.
This exhibition emerges to reflect upon the complexity of finding one’s place in our rapidly accelerating, refracting present. As in consciousness, for Bitzer, everything that happens in the cosmos is spontaneous, organic, multiple, infinite and constantly expanding.
You can visit it until July 15, 2023.
