Had an MRI for the first time today. It always amazes me how great healthcare workers are and how underappreciated they are. The whole thing reminded me of the movie 'Days of Thunder'!

Been thinking about something @dennyhamlin said on his pod. Imagine MLB made every team use the same bat, glove, and spikes from the same company. Pitchers could only throw 90 mph and after the 3rd and 6th the score was adjusted so a team could lead by 1 run. The best batter and pitcher then had to tell everyone their technique. A casual flipping channels and seeing stats might think every game was super close and exciting, but a fan of the game watching from start to finish probably wouldn’t. Probably wouldn’t be much fun to play that way either.

Yet there were no big wrecks on Sunday and y'all are still complaining. So much for wanting a finish under green 😂 of course the package isn't perfect, but you develop it. People have hated every generation of car when new. Even if there was a new car tomorrow, people wld moan.

There are a lot of fans that agree with you. The changes were made chasing TV viewership. TV execs think non race fans will watch 4wide racing and wrecking. All the while running off loyal true fans.

@DaleJr @justoksimracer @dennyhamlin If you drive for a big budget team, of course you don't want a tightly controlled package. BUT: I guarantee you that most fans prefer seeing lead changes and battles throughout the field over a dominant car lapping most of the pack.

NASCAR try to have a tight package to make the racing closer, but to say every driver, car and engine is equal is just false.

What an incredible weekend. I remember watching Cale, Neil, Bobby, Dale, Rusty and all the greats of the 80s and 90s race and win at Rockingham. To be entrusted to hold the mic on the PA for the return to racing here has been an amazing experience.

@NASCAR_BRETT Honestly, it needs a transfer of ownership. Without that = no cup. The County, City and Track Enterprises are awesome. It needs an owner who can invest alongside any public money that is given from State of NC. Current owner doesn't have deep enough pockets.

What an incredible job today by Richmond County and the City of Rockingham. They wanted NASCAR back so much and have worked incredibly hard for today to be a reality. Awesome job by Track Enterprises also. Kudos to Brian Land and his team for pulling this together.
