World Book Day yesterday truly brought out the creativity of our staff and Sixth Form students alike! Can you guess which characters they have chosen to represent? #WorldBookDay helps us to inspire students to keep reading books throughout their academic journey.

Students and staff alike were captivated by the talk given today by @derekniemann and @nolorelmini titled #BuildingBridges in preparation for the teaching of The Merchant of Venice. A truly poignant reflection on the Holocaust from two very different perspectives.

Impressive knowledge on display from our avid Year 8 reader who successfully cracked the code on the box, guessing 1813, the publication date for Austen's classic, 'Pride and Prejudice'! He wins all the contents! #RGSHW #ReadingForPleasure #RewardingReading

Last week, our Year 12 students visited Horace Walpole's spectacular neo-Gothic architectural creation, @strawbhillhouse, where Walpole's 'The Castle of Otranto' was printed. Students were able to delve into all things #Gothic - with talks on Dracula, Frankenstein and other texts
