Two days after she won the NCAA 200m title, AIU announces that Adaejah Hodge tested positive for a banned substance at 2024 World U20s and was banned for 2 years. But 7 months of the sentence was suspended for providing "substantial assistance" so she has been eligible since Jan.

Several world junior records will NOT be ratified 🙅‍♂️❌ It has been revealed that Medina Eisa’s 🇪🇹 date of birth is 17 October 2002, and not 3 January 2005 as previously claimed. This means that she would have been ineligible to compete at the World U20 Championships in 2022 and 2024, where she won two gold medals in the 5000m. Therefore, her world junior record in the women’s 5000m, with a time of 14:21.89 set at the Brussels Diamond League in 2024, has not been accepted. Fellow Ethiopians Birke Haylom and Melknat Wudu have also been denied world junior records as their dates of birth have not been established to the satisfaction of the Athletics Integrity Unit.
