our healthcare system became substantially more expensive with Obamacare mandates. obamacare makes the same assumption that you make. it assumes all people are equal risk and must be treated as such. factors such as chain smoking and morbid obesity, which are obvious risks are not allowed to be considered with health insurance. men have to be insured for pregnancy because 0.05% of women claim to be men.

I hate high taxes, but why anyone would die on the hill defending the U.S. healthcare system is beyond my understanding. You can't find a system anywhere on Earth that delivers worse value for money. Incredibly expensive. Mediocre outcome.

Not true. Italy is a culture, not a specific set of external genetics characteristics. The human genome is likely 500k +/- 250k years old. It included all shapes, sizes and skin tones from the very beginning. All human beings are cousins, usually 30th or less, but at most 50th cousins. Everyone alive today in Italy are descendants of everyone alive 2000 years ago (that had offspring) in Europe and from Northern Africa to the Caucuses. 3000 years expands the ancestors area even more. Jill and I are shocked by the sudden passing of Lindsey Graham. Lindsey and I served together in Congress for over a decade, and worked closely on many issues throughout the years. We traveled the world together as members of the Senate Foreign Relations committee. We disagreed often, and sometimes loudly. Lindsey and I did agree on the profound importance of public service. Like me, he loved the Senate as an institution, even with all its flaws and complexities.
