From 2022 through 2025, the Red Sox consistently got off to terrible starts. They underperformed expectations every year, and it became a pattern. Out of those seasons, they only made the playoffs once, and even then, they were eliminated quickly in the first round.
Those early struggles never fully convinced me the team was that bad. Each year, I felt like they were better than their record showed and would eventually turn things around.
This year feels different. There’s no energy, no real spark, and overall the team just doesn’t look good. For the first time in a while, it actually feels like this is a team with no real chance to compete.

Timing of this is odd and less than ideal. Thought the purpose of that press conference was not to distract from the draft...and this is announced the morning of the draft? Couldn't Mike Vrabel seek counseling on Monday without an announcement?
