FRC Rule Enhancements- Week 7🔥 1v1 Throw In to start the game - Tactics board session with Ciaran Deely 🏐 The new 1v1 throw-in to start the game and each half introduces a fascinating tactical shift, turning this moment into a key set-piece play with both attacking and defensive implications. Ciaran speaks about how the half-forward line should shift across to the opposition’s free midfielder, preventing easy possession while maintaining an attacking structure. He also discusses why a defensive approach from your backs can bear fruit, regardless of whether your team wins or loses the throw-in—helping to secure second-phase possession or set up a counterattack. On the attacking side, the free midfielder must always be looking to get a 2-pointer or engineer a goal if the opportunity arises, making this a crucial scoring chance right from the restart. This rule change has transformed the throw-in into a highly strategic moment, adding another layer of tactical depth to the game. Coaches what are your thoughts on this?⬇️
