After a lot of debate (and over canine Mia's objections) we have decided to cancel parkrun for tomorrow, Dec. 24th, due to frigid temperatures, strong winds, and potentially icy roads. Stay warm and join us next Saturday the 31st for our New Year's Eve parkrun!

@ZAmmi @Stanford_lands @ithayla @NoverMaC It was generally true in English schools, I think. My mum, born 1928, was made to write right handed but she did other things, like scissors, lefthanded.

@Stanford_lands @ithayla @NoverMaC Unless somebody can enlighten me otherwise, it was never a doctrine, so it wasn't a teaching of the church. It was just something that spread as a trope through Catholic circles. It was also true of English schools in the UK generally, with no religion attached to them.

Have you noticed the new murals when entering Rosslyn by the Custis and Mt Vernon Trails? The BID recently installed a temporary placemaking activation in high pedestrian traffic areas by Key Bridge!
