@NHS_Martin Went after 25 years in Jan and also blown away. I counted 8 rooms although a few of these were very small.

@GillsInTheBlood I think it’s hunger. We’ve recruited good L2 players but are they hungry enough? Cf Mad Dogs and Stimsons teams that got promoted- players with something to prove. I’m not saying the players don’t care - all footballers care.

Very nearly ended a night in Faversham without a visit to the Elephant. Luckily, Mrs RM made me go in.

Had a great couple of days pub ticking in Brum and surroundings - so many great traditional pubs. Loved the Manor Arms, Rushall and Vine, Wednesfield.

Finally got round to visiting the Hope in Carshalton. 7 times London pub of the year - I could see why but wouldn’t be anywhere near my favourite in London

Larkins Traditional in the Rock, Chiddingstone Hoath. A great example of a Kentish bitter - perfect balance between malt and hops and highly drinkable

A good day NI ticking in West London yesterday. Greenwood hotel was the pick - only NI 3* Spoons in the country

Visited Dagenham’s two NI 3* last night. Both excellent examples of large 1930’s pubs. The ‘Walnut’ room in the Eastbrook is one of finest pub rooms in the country

@oldmudgie Thanks - some new ones to add to my list here. Was in the Bridge in Topsham last week - definitely in my top 10

There are some pubs like the Blue Bell in York and the Star in Bath that would get on this list, but I haven't been there since 2019 or earlier. (3/3)
