The craziest thing that happens at English soccer matches is dozens of fans making eye contact with opposing fans and taunting them in the most ridiculous and toxic ways imaginable, especially after goals. Always sit in/near the away end. My American mind can’t comprehend it.

What an uninspiring hire by the Steelers. Maybe it’ll work. Maybe it won’t. But it’ll be fascinating to see who carries water for the front office in the coming months to try to make this look good. Because it’s difficult to justify this hire and fans are understandably upset.

Curt Cignetti’s story is amazing. At 54, he was a modestly successful D2 coach. A decade later, he completed a modern sporting miracle on the biggest stage. Work hard, surround yourself with great people, get a little lucky… you can change the trajectory of life. At any age.

@muldowney I feel like teams need to be okay with taking the 5 yards sometimes. 40 seconds at the end of a game is definitely more important than 5 yards on 3rd and long.

That anticlimactic Bills-Broncos ending is one of many reasons why college football OT is so much better than the NFL OT. Rather see red-zone battles decide games than debatable pass interference calls.
