@BevelP @jon_hutchinson_ The number of times I said to my daughter when she was younger, 'how do you know that?' And her response, 'Horrible Histories.' 😄

@jon_hutchinson_ I also think that BBC is missing a trick by putting together Horrible Histories sketches from specific time periods for use in primary schools. Again, not sticking them in front of it, but having tiny bite stuff to use.

There are tons of extremely high quality documentaries on the exact topics that we teach about in both primary and secondary. It’s always struck me as a bit odd that we don’t use these more regularly in schools. Watch together, guided discussion group with structured questions.

@DavidNautilus1 An interesting stream to scroll through. I love a whiteboard & pen, tbh, I miss the rolling blackboards! I never use interactive boards, but as a teacher of A level PE, showing practical sporting examples on video, to support a theory or a model, are really important.

So let’s say that you applied for a job at my school. And when you came for your interview, you learned that we didn’t have any electronic whiteboards. Every class had a big dry wipe and every teacher was an expert at using it. Would you accept a job offer?
