What he doesn't say is that he gets a 50 - 80% discount on those prices because he orders a lot from them
Online that exact same part costs 120 delivered. So he adds 110 to his margins while his rates look competitive
Clever. But I'm not stupid. And I don't like playing games. I don't work with him anymore because of this
Instead I work with another guy who doesn't inflate his margins. He just charges a fair rate for the work he does. He doesn't mind installing parts I supply either. Feels a lot more fair for both parties
