Everything feels like a scam now. Restaurants adding mandatory service charges that “aren’t the tip,” stores asking you to round up for "charity" at checkout, iPads asking for 25% tips on takeout orders… people are getting exhausted by the constant nickel-and-diming

@RKOtheTruth @financedystop Its simple logic. If you want to fix the system as you originally claimed you dont go ahead and just add an additional charge without doing anything else.

In Texas the minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, but for tipped employees like servers it is $2.13 per hour. In Most cases Restaurants do a tip pool so the tips are distributed between servers, supervisors, managers, busser, etc. Services Charge fixes this so the employees gets the full $7.25 minimum wage with a bonus (as mentioned in picture). If you have never worked at a restaurant or bar, then I would revise learning about how it works before being a keyboard warrior, just saying.
