This is looking quite complex.
Main thing I've done is split what is already around into:
- Business view
- Technical overview
Wanting to shift to business view due to 'big ball of mud' issues around tech.
Do any openEHR implementations support CQRS?
Not seen it in any documentation but assume it must support some sort of event feed to ‘ObservationRepositories’.
@KevinGMayfield Our platform also has event feeds (Kafka) that allow interactions with the data store to be used for multiple other purposes, such as data synchronisation.
Two practitioners working in different organisations, will communicate with each other by talking, email, sms, phone, etc.
I don’t get why developers are told they communicate with other by excel spreadsheets either passing them around or sharing via a central ‘sharepoint’.
@KevinGMayfield We are implementing this pattern at the moment for an NHS customer. It is a shame that we don't have standard IGs for this kind of work in the NHS so there is a library of repeatable patterns.
The answer to every document sharing challenge is not NRL.
Most common pattern I’ve been asked to support recently is just this:
This is from enterpriseintegrationpatterns.com/index.html
In the wider NHS and suppliers…… it’s a mix of ALL the patterns in this book including newer conversation patterns.
My son recently made the decision to become a software developer so we started a project together so I could share some knowledge.
Decided to make a simple web app for my running club.
Scaled out quickly :-)

@RKavanagh But I expect IHE PIX / HL7 ADT to continue for a significant amount of time (and will probably remain as default option)
This could supplemented by IHE PMIR pub/sub profiles.ihe.net/ITI/PMIR/1.5.0/
Hence three FHIR options plus HL7 ADT / IHE PIX.
Walking around @DHRewired after 5 years out of health tech conf circuit, and amazed that I’m seeing thick client products being run over Citrix… and menu icons from the 90s… some of this stuff really is glacial isn’t it
So, it is #Rewired24 next week. Would be great to have the opportunity to chat about how open standards can help with your patient-centric data journey.

Thanks to everyone who posted offers of help. I'm in awe of the response the community has given. I really need to find some like-minded collaborators to form a team as a one-man band hobby project is never going to deliver.
So it is with regret that I stopped my long-time #openehr AWS project last night. Days and days of battling with the AWS cloud has revealed what I already knew, I just don't have the necessary skills. The confusion of VPCs, VPC-endpoints, Security Groups etc has defeated me.
@deciNoFrac The #openEHR bit is fine. It's the AWS bit that us challenging at the moment. To be honest the goals of the project are beyond one person doing it part time.
@RKavanagh I can sympathize - I fathomed some of this out once on my rockets hobby project without doing any AWS qualifications. Overly complex to do what should be more straightforward from IAAS!
